The next generation Opel Astra's production in Rüsselsheim has just begun with the five-door variant, and the brand new Opel Astra Sports Tourer is now ready to order. The new small family station wagon offers revolutionary technologies, the all-digital Pure Pure Panel cockpit with straightforward operation and striking styling. All this is affordable: the newly revamped Opel Astra Sports Tourer starts at €27,500.

Forward Collision Warning with Automatic Emergency Braking, Pedestrian Detection, Lane Departure Warning, Traffic Sign Recognition, Drowsiness Detection, and Cruise Control with intelligent speed limitation are all standard feature models. The head-up display system is available as an option, allowing the driver to remain focused on the road at all times.

Furthermore, the load compartment has plenty of room for luggage and equipment, with a maximum volume of 1,634 liters (with the seats folded down). The 1.2-liter turbocharged three-cylinder engine with direct gasoline injection (96 kW/130 horsepower) and a six-speed manual transmission delivers sporty performance from the start.

Opel's electric offensive continues with the new Astra Sports Tourer. The newcomer is also the brand's first electrified station wagon and is now available as a robust and efficient plug-in hybrid. The Opel Astra Sports Tourer electrified version starts at €39,700. This engine is a powerhouse with a combined output of 133 kW/180 horsepower and a tremendous maximum torque of 360 Nm.

The battery-powered electric version of the new Opel Astra Sports Tourer, like the five-door Opel Astra-e, will complete the compact-class bestselling portfolio in 2023.

Like the five-door variant, the new Opel Astra Sports Tourer is a true design statement: bold and pure, it is the first Opel station wagon to display the brand's unique identity, the Opel Vizor. Underneath Vizor is industry-leading technology like the latest Intelli-Lux LED Pixel non-dazzle adaptive lighting version. The lighting system, which has 168 LED elements, is directly derived from the top-of-the-line Opel Insignia, and Opel Grandland models. The new Astra Sports Tourer is also the first station wagon with a stylish two-tone paint finish. There is enough capacity for all your daily needs beneath the eye-catching silhouette that stretches from the front to the distinctive back, with a third vertical stoplight

The maximum load volume for the combustion engine types is 1,634 liters, with the seats folding. There are also functional touches like the 'Intelli-Space' cargo floor, which can be modified to two different heights and positioned at a 45-degree angle. When the adjustable floor is lifted or lowered, the retractable luggage compartment lid can be removed and stowed for further convenience.

In the event of a puncture, the new Opel Astra Sports Tourer with 'Intelli-Space' can also make it easier to change a wheel. Tire repair and first-aid supplies are stored in convenient underfloor compartments that may be accessed from the trunk or rear seats. Luggage and equipment and even goods like a dog cage can be comfortably stored. Even the Astra plug-in hybrid, which has lithium-ion batteries installed in the underbody, has a charge capacity of 1,553 liters.

The inside of the new Opel Astra Sports Tourer has also advanced significantly. Customers benefit from a pure and intuitive experience with Pure Panel's digital human-machine interface (HMI). It is controlled by a big touchscreen, much like a smartphone. Important settings, such as climate control, can still be accessed using physical buttons.
