The new Toyota Yaris has won the 2021 European Car of the Year award, awarded by 59 journalists from 22 different countries. Introduced in late 2019, the Yaris is supported by a 116-horsepower pure hybrid and is one of the most popular options on the market in the electrification race. Its triumph in Geneva comes 21 years after the original generation won the Car of the Year 2000 award. This is a great honour for Toyota and I would like to thank the jury for their consideration and recognition. This is the best Yaris ever.
